The Old Course at St Andrews, widely known as the ‘Home of Golf’, is the most famous golf course in the world and has staged The Open more times than any other venue.
Golf has been played on the historic links at St Andrews for over 600 years, and the Old Course’s iconic landmarks – the Swilcan Bridge, Hell Bunker and the Road Hole – provide one of the greatest stages in sport. St Andrews most recently staged the Championship in 2022, when the 150th Open was played there.
